Resume Stuff: How to Write About “Job Hopping” Without People Thinking “Job Hopper”
Are you having difficulty writing about your short-tenure jobs on your resume? They may be bad fits, reorgs, or contract positions, but everyone has the same take on you: “Job Hopper!”There’s an article on MSN that will give you a great start on how to format your resume around those short stays: “How To Handle Short Term Jobs On Your Resume”
I agree most whole-heartedly with the first two points: Don’t Lie! And don’t Badmouth!
Remember that everything is amplified in an interview and, if you start complaining about former companies / bosses / HR people / whatever, the interviewer immediately pegs you as a complainer / malcontent / flight risk. Just think of it like talking about your ex on a first date: DON’T!
Enjoy the Search!

I am a chronic job hopper myself, I even wrote a book about it Mr Instability on Amazon. I dont consider being a job hopper a bad thing, I consider it the same as a person who travels and experiences new things. I have also written Interview tips from a chronic job hopper as well. I suggest you do research on the company your interviewing so your knowlegable if they should ask you what you know about the company. Also arrive at LEAST 45 minutes early, than apoligize for doing so, it makes you look overly dependable..and they love it! Check out my blog at http://www.mrinstability.blogspot.com for more tips.
