It’s time again for my weekly roundup of employment, job-seeking, and career advancement posts from around the Internet.

Here’s what caught my eye this week:

1. HotJobs has an article on When Taking A Pay Cut is a Good Move”. I’m going to talk about the “returning to the workforce” one sometime soon, but it is an absolute!
2. Over at Guerrilla Job Hunting, David Perry talks about throwing on some resume lingerie to get some JobLove.
3. CIO Magazine has an article for all of you low-experience people out there: Thy Myth of Expensive Labor. The author tells why he likes to hire kids fresh out of college. Perhaps you can use some of these reasons in your next intervoew.
4. “Dr. Salary” has a great list of Temp Jobs That Pay Well. If you need a little cash and are looking for something to do in the meantime, you need to see this list.
5. Marlene Caroselli has Nine Etiquette Tips for Job Seekers. If you’re not doing all of these things, you are sabotaging your own job search.
6. Over at Ask MetaFilter, there’s a question on How should I prepare for behavioral questions in a job interview? The question isn’t the good part. It’s all of the answers.
7. InfoWorld Magazine has a great “Ask the Headhunter” column on Can you spell ILLITERACY? How much do you rely on spellcheck?
8. I read a post by “The Joel” and the answers by the (primarily) software development community. Methinks there might be a reputation problem in my industry. Either that or some people don’t understand what a recruiter is. Nah…couldn’t be that.
9. Sick of dressing up for interviews? How about if you could have them all be virtual interviews? Would your avatar still dress down? I thought so…
10. Can some college kids teach you something about working a Job Fair? These sure can. You don’t know how many non-students coming to a job fair don’t know the basics that are taught here:
